Summer detox and weight loss smoothies


Are you interested in finding out how to keep yourself healthier and how to prepare quick and easy meals  ? Are you interested to find out what can help you detox your body and lose weight, tighten your skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite? Just ask and answer is – smoothies!  Summer is approaching, there is no better motivation than a good sunny weather to start with a new and healthier regime.


There are plenty of recipes and tips for making smoothies available on the Internet, there are sweet ones, “earthy ” tastes for lovers of vegetables, fruit and vegetable mixes. Only what you need is a good blender, foods of your choice and a bit of culinary experience

We decided to play and design our own recipes, we chose what we like most , it’s healthy and organic food. Simply super food. 5 recipes for 5 working days a week. It is practical as there is no situation “what to eat today for breakfast”,  you can  plan in advance and save a lot of time.

We have mixed our smoothies and now we share our recipes with you:


Monday – Pink passion smoothie – the beginning of the working week is hard for us all, so we decided to start it with a sweet smoothie!

Raspberries, cherries, bananas, beetroot, Greek yogurt and mix of seeds for a decoration (sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds). We would just add the strawberries here, but we could not find them, so it was made a smoothie without them, but we recommend you to add them

Tuesday – Green smoothie – maybe we do not like green smoothie much, but we love ourselves and want to detox body and loose few kilograms so we will drink a green smoothie. For a green smoothie you will need a handful of spinach, half a cucumber, half a courgette, one stick of celery, two green apples and half of avocado. Add water to blend it well and if you like you can add Greek yogurt for a richer taste.

The ingredients might not seem to be the most tastier combination but we tried it and it’s not really that bad. If you are not too keen on the taste and you find it difficult to drink smoothie, poor in moulds for homemade ice cream and freeze it and it as ice cream. Or perhaps you can try to mix with oat flakes (or some other cereals of your choice) and eat it for breakfast.

Wednesday – Orange sunset – it is the middle of the week and  time for another sweet smoothie. What you need are two peeled oranges, one teaspoon of grated ginger, ¼ pineapple (can be more if you are a pineapple lover), 1 carrot, 2 apricots (you can use peaches as well) and half banana and a bite of water.

Thursday – Purple Honey – blueberries, Greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons of oat flakes, and a tea spoon of honey. There are no words to describe it how tasty is this smoothie!

Friday – End of the week smoothie – We are at the end of the working week, we feel great, full of energy, healthier and we drink the smoothie made from the following ingredients: pear, coconut milk, banana, a pinch of cinnamon and few almonds to make a crunching taste. You can also use almonds for decoration if you like.

All these smoothie recipes have fruits and vegetables that are known to be antioxidants, you should consume them regularly. We have tasted and made our own smoothie combinations and what we can confirm is that smoothie can replace one meal – which was our goal.
